Two study committees Hamilton Consulting has been following throughout the summer are nearing the end of their review, and they are holding some of their final meetings in November and December. The Study Committee on the Review of Tax Incremental Financing (TIF) and the Study Committee on the Transfer of Structured Settlement Payments will be meeting in the beginning of November.

At the previous TIF study committee meeting, members discussed options for possible legislation, including discussions on TIF categories, the TIF creation process, and changes to project plan requirements. The committee will meet on Thursday, November 13, at 10 AM, in 412 East of the State Capitol.

The committee on structured settlement payments discussed a bill draft that would create a statute for addressing the transfer of structured settlements. The committee will meet next on Thursday, November 6, at 9 AM, in 225 Northwest of the State Capitol.
