The 12th annual Business Day in Madison, hosted by Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, was recently held in Madison. Attendees heard speakers from around the United States talk and discuss the state, national, and international business climate.
Speakers included Robert O’Neill, a member of the SEAL Team Six; A.B. Stoddard, Associate Editor and Columnist for The Hill, who spoke on what’s happening on the national level of politics for business leaders. Charles Payne, Founder of Wall Street Strategies, focused on the current economic situation and prospects for growth, and Daniel Christman, Senior Vice President of International Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, who focused on what’s happening internationally that will affect overseas investment and business.
The final speaker of the day was Gov. Scott Walker, who discussed many of the new initiatives Wisconsin is employing to help businesses grow, and the tax cuts that will be included in his “Blueprint for Prosperity,” should the legislature approve the plan in the coming months. You can watch Governor Walker’s entire address at Business Day in Madison at WisconsinEye.
