ANDY ENGEL has been with Hamilton Consulting for nearly 20 years, representing a diverse range of nationally recognized clients, including 3M, American Red Cross, Alliance for Automotive Innovation, Anheuser-Busch, Delta Dental, Harley-Davidson, McCain Foods, Meta, Walmart, and Xcel Energy. He has been a part-owner of Hamilton Consulting since 2015.

Before joining Hamilton, Andy spent 12 years working in Wisconsin politics, serving in the Wisconsin Capitol and directing political organizations and campaigns across the state. His final Capitol position was Chief of Staff to then-Senate Majority Leader Judy Robson, where he oversaw Senate strategy on the state budget, major policy initiatives, communications with the press and lobbying community, and caucus affairs. Earlier in his Capitol career, Andy served as a Policy Analyst with the Senate Office of Budget and Policy and as a Legislative Aide to State Senator Kim Plache.

Andy also brings extensive campaign experience, ranging from state legislative races to statewide and presidential campaigns. He served as Executive Director of the State Senate Democratic Committee in 2002 and 2006, Political Director of the State Democratic Party in 2003, and Deputy Director of John Kerry’s Wisconsin field campaign in 2004.

At Hamilton Consulting, Andy works with clients to advance policy and achieve strategic objectives at every level of state government. He combines deep knowledge of Wisconsin’s political and legislative processes with a broad range of advocacy strategies and relationships developed over decades in and around the Capitol. His work also includes local government projects and successful public-sector procurement efforts.

In 2002, Andy co-founded Forward Strategies, a public opinion polling firm. He currently serves on the board of the Wisconsin Coalition to End Homelessness. Andy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
