On Oct. 4, the Worker’s Compensation Advisory Council met to discuss a draft bill of their agreed upon proposals to the legislature. The draft bill includes a variety of rate increases and other small items, but the most significant component is the inclusion of a medical fee schedule.

At the meeting, the Council approved the draft bill with a minor amendment and another tweak was needed yet this week.  The Council is meeting today to further discuss the agreed bill. The bill is expected to be given the final approval by the council very soon.  It should be finalized by the Legislative Reference Bureau and introduced in the near future.
