Wisconsin voters delivered a decisive result in the state’s latest Supreme Court race, electing Judge Chris Taylor and expanding the liberal majority on the state’s highest court. Taylor defeated conservative Court of Appeals Judge Maria Lazar by roughly 20 percentage points, one of the largest margins in a Wisconsin Supreme Court contest in decades.

The result pushes the court’s ideological balance to a 5–2 liberal majority.
