Gov. Tony Evers announced the Wisconsin State Building Commission approved approximately $248 million in projects across Wisconsin, including $50 million for 71 community development and infrastructure projects through the state’s Non-State Grant Program. The funding will support projects ranging from libraries, community centers, and housing developments to healthcare facilities, fire stations, and cultural attractions.
Among the projects approved was $2 million for the Milwaukee Domes Alliance’s “The Domes: Reimagined” project at Mitchell Park Domes. Other funded projects include libraries, museums, workforce training centers, and emergency service facilities across the state.
The commission also approved several major state projects, including upgrades at the Wisconsin State Capitol, improvements to military and veterans facilities, renovations at UW campuses, and maintenance projects across multiple state agencies. Gov. Evers said the investments will help strengthen local communities, modernize infrastructure, and support economic growth throughout Wisconsin.
