The Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association (WFDA) held their Legislative Day last week. The WFDA is the largest state trade association assisting funeral service professionals in Wisconsin. WFDA represents and supports funeral service professionals licensed in Wisconsin through continuing education, networking, advocacy, and promoting the high professional standards of its members in providing meaningful funeral services to the families they serve.
Members met with their local legislators and asked for their support on purple light usage, streamlining the issuance of cremation permits in deaths that do not require further investigation, and maintaining Wisconsin’s current anti-competition law for funeral homes and cemeteries.
