Nomination papers have been filed for the state’s Superintendent election. The current state Superintendent Jill Underly is being challenged by Sauk Prairie School District Superintendent Jeff Wright. This week, it was announced that another challenger, Brittany Kisner, a former special education teacher and education consultant, has filed papers to run.

With the entry of a third candidate, the 3-way nonpartisan race will trigger a primary on February 18. The top two winners will advance to the April 1 election.
