Marquette Law School recently hosted Tim Sullivan, former Bucyrus International CEO and Special Consultant to the Governor for Workforce Development and Education, for one of its popular On the Issues discussions.
What do we do about an acute skills gap in Wisconsin, one that combined with an aging workforce could threaten the state’s economic future? As the leader of a large mining equipment manufacturer that experienced explosive growth in the last decade, Tim Sullivan saw firsthand the serious challenges facing the state. Now he’s recommending major reforms to our education and workforce development systems, and calling for Wisconsin to be more immigrant-friendly.
