State Companies Invited to Trade Venture with Czech Republic, Poland, and Turkey

Together with the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) and Council of Great Lakes Governors, Wisconsin businesses are invited to participate in a trade venture to the Czech Republic, Poland, and Turkey, with the goal to help Wisconsin businesses expand their exports. The trip is November 1-11, 2015.

Manufacturing is a main industry of the three countries, and organizers hope Wisconsin companies can help bolster this industry by providing them with more machinery and parts. Companies attending the trip will be matched with potential partners, or can request to meet with specific partners.

The WEDC is encouraging companies with minimal exporting experience to attend, as these markets are considered strategic markets. All sectors are encouraged to attend, however companies in the following industries are expected to find significant opportunities in the three markets:

  • Manufacturing, manufacturing automation, engineering services
  • Infrastructure
  • Medical devise and equipment
  • Pharmaceuticals, supplements, over-the-counter drugs
  • Aerospace and aviation; suppliers for this sector
  • Food and beverage
  • Energy, power, and control
