The Wisconsin Counties Association is holding a free webinar on broadband deployment in Wisconsin on May 20 at 10 a.m.
The importance of a robust broadband infrastructure to ensuring a high quality of life, facilitating job creation efforts and generating efficiencies in government operations has been well established. Despite a recognized need, communities around the state are still struggling to deploy this critical infrastructure. This is primarily due to a variety of factors, including a lack of financial resources, the need to better educate the public, and an incomplete picture of the community’s needs and existing capabilities.
Through this webinar, learn how to get started in developing your own plan for community-wide broadband deployment and hear from three counties who have addressed the issue in their own regions. From idea to final result, you will learn how these counties, with substantially different needs and demographics, navigated the tricky landscape of achieving near ubiquitous coverage.
