Destinations Wisconsin and Wisconsin School Bus Association Hold Legislative Days

Last week, members of Destinations Wisconsin and the Wisconsin School Bus Association traveled to Madison to participate in Legislative Day activities at the State Capitol, meeting with lawmakers to share priorities and advocate for their respective industries.
Members of Destinations Wisconsin met with local Senators and Representatives to discuss key issues affecting the travel and tourism industry and to help shape policies impacting their communities and profession. Participants were briefed on the latest political developments and received updates on the legislative landscape before heading to the Capitol to meet directly with legislators.

Also in Madison last week, members of the Wisconsin School Bus Association (WSBA) held their annual Legislative Day. The event included discussions with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and legislators on school transportation safety issues. WSBA presented its Legislative Champion Award to Senators James and Tomczak and Representatives Penterman, Sortwell, and Tusler for their leadership on school bus safety, and later met with lawmakers to thank them for their work during the current legislative session and share updates on school bus safety priorities for 2026.
