Gov. Scott Walker’s Steering Committee on Autonomous and Connected Vehicles met this week for their final discussion before they release their report. Committee members discussed issues including better defining the difference between autonomous and connected vehicles and analyzing further infrastructure, signs, and lines on the road. Members also requested a strategic plan for the committee.
While the final report is due June 30, Rep. Mike Kuglitsch (R-New Berlin) said it will be a work in progress. The committee will continue as a working group after the report is released, and legislators believe this is where legislation will be developed.
