Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce Hosts 2018 Business Day

Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce held the 17th annual Business Day in Madison on Feb. 28 at the Monona Terrace. Attendees heard from speakers around the state and nation on business and political affairs topics.

A highlight of the program was Dr. Alan Yeung, Foxconn Director of Strategic Initiatives. Yeung shared Foxconn’s plans for their manufacturing site in Mount Pleasant, as well as plans for business and development throughout Milwaukee and southeast Wisconsin. Yeung also gave examples of Foxconn’s wide variety of developing products that expand from LCD technology screens to artificial intelligence to health and disease prevention.

Throughout the day, attendees also heard from political editor and Fox News contributor Guy Benson, investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson, Keynote speaker Greg Gutfeld, co-host of Fox News’s “The Five,” Wisconsin Attorney General Brad Schimel, and Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Judge Michael Screnock.

Gov. Scott Walker concluded the day by sharing his administration’s economic and workforce development successes and laying out his “Ambitious Agenda” for the rest of the 2018 session.
