Budget History

• Governor Doyle delivered his budget address to a joint session of the legislature on February 13. The text of the governor’s address can be found here.

• The 2007-2009 Wisconsin biennial budget was introduced as 2007 Senate Bill 40.

• On June 26, the Senate passed SB-40 (Senate Substitute Amendment 1 together with Senate Amendments 1 and 2) by a vote of 18-15.

• On July 10, the Assembly passed its amended version of SB-40: Assembly Substitute Amendment 1 with Assembly Amendment 1. The vote was 51-44.
