Ideadvance funding helps students, staff, and faculty in the UW System turn ideas into Wisconsin companies. The money comes from a $2 million seed fund launched in Februrary. “Not enough of these bright ideas are making it to the market place and those that do have difficulty in scaling their businesses. We’re hoping to close the gap from innovation to commercialization through programs like Ideadvance,” says Lisa Johnson, WEDC vice president of Entrepreneurship & Innovation. For more information, go to the WEDC website.
